review 1: This was a disturbing look into an extremist morman cult. a murder has happened in one of their communities. an investigation has been launched with a young man and his sister from a neighboring community. what they unearth is horrifying and keeps you turning the page. I had a couple of issues with the book such as the amount of rigor in a dead body that has been sitting out in desert conditions for two days and he gave up the culprits too soon in the story. the drama and tension at the end made up for the minor issues. on the whole I enjoyed the book.
review 2: The author grew up in a religious cult and his insight into the way such organisations work made this seem very realistic - and scary! I smiled in places, trying to imagine why one man would want to ha... moreve more than one wife - apart from the obvious, of course.Thoroughly entertaining, fast-paced and well written. The romantic in me would have liked to have seen the heroine riding off into the sunset with the hunky undercover guy but, hey, I can use my imagination. less
