review 1: "Traffic Pups" offers a cute, rhyming story of law-abiding pups managing traffic for the neighborhood animals (bear, duck, pig, and more). Fun of "vrooming" action and numerous events where the Traffic Pups need to help, this book includes several phrases kids will enjoy reading aloud with their parents. The illustrations and colorful, yet not overwhelming. Best for ages 3-6. Love the cute ending!
review 2: This book has cute illustrations and a fun rhyme scheme and my baby liked the pictures. I found it a bit trippy, though. Judging from the illustrations, not only are the police officers and citizens animals, they are all stuffed animals in a boy's bedroom. Nothing in the text suggests to me that the book needs to be about stuffed animals. Not that it is a pr... moreoblem that they ARE stuffed animals, it was just a choice I was pondering as I read this book. All of our bedtime reading has me thinking a lot more about author/illustrator relationships and how children's books are created. less
