review 1: I think I would have loved this book as a teen, but as a 22-year-old nurse, it was a little basic for me. Michelle Phan is bright, beautiful and clearly has a strong business sense. The problem for me was the lack of in-depth content here. She covered the surface of a wide variety of topics, but didn't provide anything groundbreaking.I can see a freshman in high school loving this book. It gives all the basics. Those of us who have been following Michelle online for a while, not so much.
review 2: Makeup your Life! Page: 23The book is really interesting. She talks about how she got into makeup and how hard her life was." I don't care anymore, I want to be myself." Michelle was talking about how she tried to fit in and then gave up and decided to be herself... more. She also talks about how You-tube is her other world. She talks about how she really started loving makeup and how being artistic helps you with makeup. The book so far is really interesting and kind of funny, it also gives you a lot of helpful tricks (so yay!).Page: 48 November 21, 2014So far in the book I have read about skincare and how to have a really healthy diet and some easy ways to exercise. Being an unhealthy eater can really mess up your body, I guess the book influenced me to eat healthy and exercise more. The author talked about how important it is to take care of yourself and some healthy foods to eat. The author also says that it's good to wash your face every night and some makeup tricks to help you get ready. less
