review 1: Volume 6 of my graphic novel experience. I was torn by this volume. I really enjoyed the main story that covered Tom Taylor's battle with the Cabal. Two characters end up being eliminated (I think) and a lot gets resolved.What I didn't particularly care for was all the side stories which were hard to keep track of and hard to figure out how they fit into the big picture. Can't say I am a big fan of the genre yet but I will give it a chance to play out.
review 2: Pretty epic things happen in this volume. I was torn over whether to give it three or four stars, though, because between each chapter of Tommy Taylor and the War of Words is a side-story told through Wilson Taylor's journal that explores the beginnings of the grid and the secret council. These side... more stories are good and interesting.... but it got a little annoying because really major things were happening with the main characters, and I wanted to know what happened! It was still a good volume, though, so I went with four stars. less
