review 1: Seeing Maria being that shy around Shin was funny and she can't fully say to him that she love him. These two xDAnd that ex-friend of Maria turns out to be a very horrible person. That face she had at the end of the volume were just awful. So she has lied to Maria the whole time and hated her for a very long time. That false mask she has on whenever she is near Maria and her friends is just disgusting. What kind of a person is she?!! Don't dare being near Shin and ruin Maria and Shin's "blooming" relationship.
review 2: Trying to capture my feelings about manga is very difficult, as what I really like about it is the occasional image which stirs my imagination, and the way that the dialogue sometimes approaches poetry -- found poetry, perhaps, and it may simply... more be an artifact of translation, or a sort of Orientalism that finds the thoughts which are easily expressed in one language/culture to be exotic and profound.All of that being said, this story of a girl who has very strong emotions and sees the truth of other people but cannot find ways to connect without hurting others appeals deeply to me.As for this volume in particular, the introduction of Anna is interesting, and I have hopes that it will go in a direction that is different than the standard shoujo tropes, but as it stands I did not enjoy the volume as much as the previous ones. less
