review 2: Honestly this book not only broke the spell I was under with Fifty Shades of Grey but it introduced me to an enjoyment of historical fiction. After reading the Fifty Shade trilogy , I wanted more of the same and waded through poor efforts with captions that read:"if you liked Fifty Shades of Grey then you'll like...". Of those, there were none that satisfied. Then I discovered Love's Portrait. This book was a wonderful surprise and I absolutely loved Morgan St. Claire and his methodical seduction of Ms. Westgard. Were it not for love seduction may be enough in itself but where the two exists together sparks become flames. This book was an inferno! So you see, there is no wonder that Julie Westgard would melt like a candle. This book rates a five because It left me wanting nothing but to read it again! less
