review 1: I definitely hadn't expected Colin and Jen's story to be this exhilarating. I thought it would be somewhat low key but still thrilling with action. I found it interesting the way Colin and Jen perceived drew and Fables "perfect" relationship. how on the outside they look so put together, when in reality their relationship was put together puce by piece and they still dwell on the scars throughout their journey. it was interesting to hear how jen thought Drew and Fable's relationship worked. like it was flawless. ha. hell no. I felt a deep connection towards Jen. I found she had a personality similar to line. I realized this when she was telling everyone that they needed to move on from Danny, not forget, move on. I understand where she is coming from. I'm not trying to sou... morend like some insensitive nonfeeling bitch, but I have always hated it when people let grief overcome them, swallow them whole. how they refuse to talk about and they sulk around, they let it drag them everywhere. I've had my fair share of grief it, so I completely understand the sullen state, but sulking around all the time and not talking about it or just avoiding the whole world is an extremely unhealthy way to grieve. Monica Murphy did an excellent job on this novel, and I will give her a bravo. I enjoyed this hook as much as I have enjoyed Drew and Fable's story and I cannot wait to finally get a conclusion for fable and Drew.
review 2: This book intrigued me because I liked Colin from the first two books in the series. But his relationship with Jen, Fable's friend, feels very co-dependent to me, even by the end. Colin Wilder is brilliant, smart, and going places and Jen is a bit dim and weak. He merely wants to take care of her because he thinks he owes it to his best friend (her brother) who died. This is not a mature premise for a long-term relationship. Her plan to escape to Sacramento is completely impulsive and unrealistic. The job interview would never have happened because they would have known in advance her limited skills and not even bothered to interview her in the first place. In short, while very well-written and well-paced enough to keep me turning the pages, I found the story implausibly angsty. Fable--from the first two books--is a much more mature and likeable character than Jen will ever be. There's lots of sexual attraction and a shared history of pain here but not much else. less

letto per finire la serie, un disastro. noioso ripetitivo e assolutamente inutile.

I liked this one, but I think it was too similar to Drew & Fable's story.
