review 2: This was a riveting read, a book I would've definitely finished in one sitting if I had the luxury of
... more2-3 straight hours of free idle time. The premise of the book, while focusing largely on time travel, is akin to science fiction stories about people with special abilities who face the choice of either using these abilities to help mankind, or using them only to further their selfish motivations with a complete disregard for its repercussions on others. I like the lead character Emerson and her many complexities and struggles. I have equal fondness for the male protagonist Michael, and his dynamics with Emerson. There is definitely a strong romantic tone but it was done without the trademark cheesiness usually found in young adult fiction. I'm definitely recommending this book to fans of young adult fiction trilogies. I hope the next 2 books won't disappoint! less

Do you ever wish you could go back in time to change the past? Well this isn't what Emerson Cole wanted. She wanted to see all the things that everyone missed. Since her parents death, Emerson has been haunted by phantoms and desperately wanting them to stop. In efforts to make them end, Emerson and her brother take a chance on the company her brother works for called Hourglass. This is her last chance to make the visions go away and her life is about to change for forever. I thought this book was a good book. I liked the story, it was a new twist on phantoms and time-travel. I would recommend this to any teenage girl who wants to read about change in life and dealing with their own phantoms.

A punk who actually isn't edgy at all. Pathetic.
