review 1: The book I will be reviewing is The Zazi Hunters by Neal Bascomb. The book is about a spy mission from the story of the Holocaust, the survivors of the Holocaust form a group to hunt down and bring to trial Adolf Eichmann. Eichmann was responsible for the killings of thousands of Jews during the Holocaust. Eichmann escapes and fled to Argentina. The book to me is really about a group of spies and Holocaust survivors coming together with a common cause to hunt down and deliver justice to Adolf Eichmann who was responsible for the deaths of many of their family members. To me also this book describes the inner struggles between Simon Wiesenthal who helped form the case to track down and hunt Eichmann and the family of Eichmann who wants to help save him. A possible spoiler i... mores in this quote "For the first time in history the Jews will judge their assassins and for the first time the world will hear the annihilation story of an entire people." The genre of this story is historical nonfiction and I recommend this book for Middle school and High School students.
review 2: This is, without a doubt, the best non-fiction narrative I've ever read. Being extremely interested in World War ll and the Holocaust, I was surprised that "d never heard of Adolf Eichmann. It seems as though he was almost worse than Hitlar himself because he was responsible for setting up ghettos, concentration camps and killing over a million Jews. He destroyed millions of families and got away with it. The ashes of dead Jews and the living Israelites screaming for justice. At the end of WWll Eichmann created a false identity and moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. This book goes in depth about the capture and trial of Eichmann. It's a thrilling page turner that discusses justice and perspectives on the persecution of Jews. Definately a book worth reading. less
