review 1: Quite an enjoyable book with a lot of dark bits, more "real life" than chicklit feel which is what gave it the edge over a lot of chick lit out there. Very much a page turner and nice that the characters were real and raw and without the fluff that could easily have been introduced into the book. Not sure I am compelled to read the follow up, however, as feel it would have been best left to the reader's imagination as to what happens next.
review 2: I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I was expecting a slightly 'trashy' romance book (apologies to the author) but I found an interesting and well thought out story about finding the road to true happiness. I did think that it took too long to reveal that her heart's desire was to live in... more the countryside (I only knew that from the blurb for the first part of the book) but, overall a good book. less
