review 1: This book really made me laugh. As somebody who was back in the dating game a few years ago, I can vouch that the situations Nick's characters find themselves in are very real and very amusing, though the amusement is usually in retrospect. The graphic language and sex scenes may not be to everyone's tastes but it is interesting to see how a book like this is now a mainstream bestseller, when 20 years it may have been a little too risqué for the average reader. Highly recommended!
review 2: I got this book as a Kindle Daily Deal, and I'm so glad I did. I LOVED this book. It had me laughing hysterically throughout until I had tears in my eyes! It's cleverly told, as the title implies, from two sides...Jamie (who writes a blog) and Laura (who writes a journal to
... more her mother who had passed away prior to the book). Their accounts of their respective dates up to and including their first date and on makes you feel for the characters even while laughing at their misadventures. You can't help but to cheer these two on. I'm so happy I purchased more of this series and intend to check out more of Nick Spalding's other works. less
