review 1: I honestly hated everything about this book except where the plot was going in the beginning but not even 8 pages later it crumbled to the damn ground. The characters; I really didn't like anybody but I did find some that weren't too unlikable. I really got irritated by Dez, to me everything she said sounded like a horrible actor reading a eye-rolling-way-too-dramatic-play-script. Even some of the other characters sounded horrible. Hell, who am I kidding? They all sounded like shitty actors and actresses saying even shittier things.
review 2: This book just dives on in, guns blazing, so to speak. The story has very little set up but once a reader gets used to the fast pace, it is a good story. Teamwork and compassion are praised and supernatural shape-shifters
... moreare always a fun read. I liked Dez and all her insecurities and discoveries. The cast of characters is charming, and I especially like the friendship between the girls in Dez's cabin. less
