review 1: meh....I think you have to be a die hard fan of this author to rate this little read with four or even five stars...It seems to me that she could write assembly instructions for IKEA wardrobes and her hardcore fans would freak out and start raving about it...This sequel to a series, I no longer care about to read, is so full of cliches, I am trying to recover from the headache which all the eye-rolling induced.Unlikable characters spending a whole weekend together, having sex with no strings attached...The heroine, Laura, a Swedish sexbomb !!! works as a journalist and therefore travels the whole world. During her stay in Dubai she meets Javier, the Latin Lover!!! an undercover agent or something.Laura, a sexually aggressive female, makes the first move on Javier, and thi... mores is when all the sheet clenching, moaning and gasping begins...Yawn...Nothing remarkable or unbelievably exciting happens which I haven't read already elsewhere.What attracted these two to each other besides their breathtaking!!! good looks will remain their mystery...And just because both characters were convinced that they had had the best sex ever together, doesn't mean that I was of this opinion, too!Average, at best!I did not care about this ending on a cliffhanger...I won't continue!
review 2: En démarrant Striking back et en découvrant le passé de Laura et de Javier, je voulais absolument lire leur rencontre. Chose faite avec cette super novella qui nous plonge à Dubai dans un restaurant où Laur Nilson , grande journaliste, prend son diner avant d'être importunée par deux Russes ayant abusé de l'alcool. Javier ira la tirer de ce mauvais pas et leu rencontre va faire des étincelles. Ils s'étaient promis un week end sans attaches mais tous les deux n'ont pu résister à l'appel des sentiments. On découvre également l'enlèvement de Laura et la traque qui en découlera. less
