review 1: While not a time travel story it sure will take one back in time to simpler days and times long forgotten. Reading this took me back to days spent on my grandparents porch listening to them talk bout "The Good Ole Days". I loved it and it is very realistic and true to the ways of the south. The murder mystery was interesting and pulled the tale together nicely. I think I may just have to go back and read this again! I can't wait to share it with my family!
review 2: A good read if you are interested in fact about the Mississippi Delta.A young boy Jake Conner goes from Jackson to Cotton City in the Delta to visit his cousins for three weeks. On the trip over he overhears about a body being found under the bridge in Greenville. While his cousins enjoy themselves
... more doing things young boys like to do the mystery of who the body was and who possibly killed the man began to unravel. In this book you will learn some facts about the MS Delta, growing cotton and growing up. less
