review 1: About halfway through the book I expected this one to be just another 3-star Star Wars book. The book starts off pretty slow. I wasn't sure where the author was planning on taking me considering the interlocking plot threads and constant switching from character perspectives. But halfway through the book everything came together. The is the first Star Wars book I've read that dealt with time travel, and quite frankly, the author managed to make it work in a rather creative and original way. I also found it very engaging how the author managed to take several characters with very little in common, some polar opposites from one another, and brought them together in unusual but believable circumstances that ultimately intertwined their fates in the end. It's like going back t... moreo the original Star Wars in concept, but with a plot that deals in time travel, insane jedi/sith clones, and plenty of twists along the way. I also dug the horror aspect of the events that took place in the third act of the book. It's was dark, creepy, vivid, and kept me on the edge of my seat. The book is very well written and the author does a brilliant job of using metaphors to describe situations throughout the book that invoke feelings of dread, horror, sadness, and humor. After not expecting much from this book, I ended up coming out pleased and eager to jump into the next one.
review 2: At this point I'm pretty much Sithed out. Coming from someone who has the code of the Sith tattooed on him, that should say something. For years the word Sith gave me goosebumps. I loved the Sith because the were mysterious and we knew so little about them but it seems like they've gone to the Sith well one too many times. You've got Banes rule of two Sith, Krayts One Sith order, Jacen Solo and his brief Sith order, the lost tribe of the Sith and now time traveling Sith?!?! C'mon now. less

Good enough for a Star Wars book -- not the best, not the worst.
