review 1: Wow! Hester is a truly engaging read that will pull you into the life of a widow who uproots her daughter and relocates across the ocean to a place full of economic uncertainty, political turmoil and personal challenges. She reconnects with a friend from her youth, then enters into a life she never would have imagined for herself and her daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and suggest everyone pick it up and experience Hester like you never imagined.
review 2: If I don't continue reading a book then it's because i just CAN'T continue reading it. It rarely happens coz when I open a book, I can't leave it unfinished even if it was boringly BORING but on some occasion, it's impossible to FINISH the bloody book. It happened twice before & this is the 3rd time
... more.I don't what was wrong exactly, the narration part, the way it's written or how the narrator is speaking to the reader. The content or the its sequence. Nothing is making me continue reading this book. Even the theme is boring & i t doesn't have this solid base. I put it on the shelf not being able to finish it. I really wanted to throw it in the trash but that would just kill me even though i didn't like it. Why was interested in what happened to Hester in the 1st place? The hell with her, she committed adultery & had to be punished for the rest of her life, i should hv dealt with that conclusion. less
