review 1: I was looking forward to this back story for quite a while. P.C Cast is without doubt my favourite author but i agree with other reviewers its just not developed enough. Emily is a bit to much of a spoilt brat and because of that you cant really pity her. Yes her dads abusive, drunk and generally a not nice person but i think Emily gets a few more traits from her father than she thinks. I don't know it just wasn't any where near as good as Dragons Oath or Lenobias Vow and Neferet is a far more interesting character than any of them.
review 2: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!! Ok after reading this book I'm with Neferet. Humans must take a lesson! Especially those like her father.Plus as I was reading what she was doing after her mother's death I was exhausted mysel... moref just by reading it. Oh and Arthur is an idiot! He is nothing like Lenobia's Martin and he was born almost 100 years later!!! Geez did he have to be such a moron in the end and run away?Stay there and help the poor girl!Pffff.....This book really deserved my 4 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!j less
