review 1: I really loved this! Strangely, reading about Neferet was very interesting!!!I absolutely loved everything about it! It perfectly portrayed how the past is accountable for her actions now and even the way she thinks! It was quite heartbreaking at times though! Life was extremely cruel to her! Overall, it was so good! It portrayed so much about the lifestyle in 1893 too, so more plus points!
review 2: I enjoyed this book a lot.. I loved the view of Neferet's old life as Emily Wheiler, She truly was once a sweet and lost girl. This book made me see a different side of her, a side I felt bad for.... no girl should ever have to go through what she went through. I also believe that some part of the way she is now is because of her father and how he treated her. Stil... morel not a fan of Neferet but this book does give you some good insight on her life before she was ever marked. Maybe if her father didn't do the things he did, she would of turned out completely different! less
