review 1: This Book is a Christmas present and I am half way into it now. I can't put it down as it's so easy and enjoyable to read. I can relate what she says all the time from those simple but profound words. It's like a fireplace you want to be around in a cold and dark day. It's like water that quenches your thirst after the sun in the dessert. It's a cool and refreshing medicine after the exhaustion of your long march. Her wisdom has been a guiding light for me and my wanting soul.
review 2: This book was uplifting and raised my awareness so much so that I plan to read her other books. Pema, for me, has been one of the few buddhist authors that I've been able to sit with and learn from. This idea about becoming intimate with one's fear rather than trying to get
... more rid of it is new to me and I loved every aspect of it. The book is organized by chapters that make swallowing a new philosophy a lot easier. It was difficult for me to read her meditation instructions so those various parts throughout the book, I had to skip. I just don't like the feeling of being converted or asked to do "something". Weird. I think it's a great read and it's pretty short. She's hilarious. less

Should be in everyone's library. Juts take the message, you don't need to be a Buddhist.
