review 1: Oh, Guardians of Oa. Why does anyone let you run ANYTHING? Time and time again you have proved yourself to be the Green Lantern Corps' worst enemy, and here we go again with another plot to undermine, torment and kill your faithful minions . I assume this will eventually end with you little blue meanies being squished and deposed yet again, and not a moment too soon.I'm enjoying this latest version of a familiar song, though. The action gets a little chaotic, but the trial of John Stewart is a cracking legal thriller, while John and Guy are still getting some of the best character writing I've seen for them. Plus you've got to love any space opera story that includes a mission like, "The planet Mogo is putting itself back together; go help it."

... morerst half of this trade was pretty hard to get through. Actually, there wasn't much in this whole trade, that we haven't seen many times over at this point:The Guardians scheming, planning something that involves controlling the galaxy.Alpha Lanterns being d-bags.What it does have going for it, is the fact that it makes Guy Gardner into a likeable character. Ever since Green Lantern Corps started up again, after Green Lantern: Rebirth, Writers have been trying to make Guy Gardner more like a guy you would want to have a beer with, instead of the guy you want to watch Batman punch in the face.I think Tomasi has actually led the charge in that regard. Still a decent read. less

A bit of a haphazard volume, which really only gets better towards the end.
