review 1: As someone who isn't an avid SciFi fan, I went into this read with no real expectations other than my personal association with the writer and her great talent. I finished this piece completely in love with the characters and with an overwhelming desire to know more about their lives and what the future will hold for them. Very well drawn world with flawed characters that while not human, are endearingly humanistic. Absolutely recommend!
