review 1: 2.5 stars. The lead up to Quinn and Cooper getting together was really well written. Enough background information to know where they were both coming from and to believe that they were both harboring crushes on each other for at least a little while. But, the romantic in me says that when you go from friends to lovers, that first time together should be magical. It was not. Maybe I shouldn't let my disappointment in the last 10% of the book weigh down my rating so heavily but I can't help feeling let down.
review 2: This was a fun short piece about two college guys who just needed to get on the right page. Quinn has loved his roommate and fellow computer game designer Cooper for some time, but they never seem to be free of an entanglement at the same time... more until spring break. It's their big chance. I loved Quinn's narrative voice and the plot. I was a little frustrated that they could have solved this easily through communication, buy hey, they're young. They made up for it in the end. Enjoyable read. less
