review 1: This was more gruesome than sexy for most of the book. That said, the apocolyptic tone and depictions of the carnage at the hands of zombies were very well executed and effectively disturbing. I'm always impressed when a writer can cross genres so effortlessly. The two main characters were lovely. Unrequited love gets fast-forwarded into full blown intimacy as the two boys bond and must rely on each othet in order to survive and keep their sanity in the midst of the horrors surrounding them...
review 2: So, I realize that this is a short story, but to have no idea why there are suddenly zombies everywhere was something my brain just couldn't let go while I was reading the whole thing. The love story between Ross and Emery is very sweet and I would love to read
... moremore about them, but I wanted to know where the hell these zombies were coming from! Not my favorite from Piper Vaughn...if you want to read more from her I suggest you go with her Lucky Moon series. :) less

Man-love + zombies = great! I'm not a fan of short stories, but really enjoyed this one!
