review 1: I think PJ Tracy (a mother and daughter team) are great writers. They have such a gift for funny, quirky characters. This mystery takes place in Minneapolis (mostly) and is about an FBI agent who has retired but has been posting lists of suspected terrorists that are flying under the radar of regular law enforcement. The usual Monkeewrench gang is back (they are computer programmers) with their interesting array of talents as well as the police officers. Love, love, love these mysteries.
review 2: Had this been my first Monkeywrench book, I probably would't have finished it and likely wouldn't continue to read others in the series. The recurring characters acted inconsistently with the personalities established in the previous books. Roadrunner is completel
... morey oblivious to the vehicle tailing him across the city? Nobody bothers to check the car for a tracking device? Come on. I also felt that the portrayal of Native Americans was a too stereotypical. Let's cook up some fry bread to eat with our with our two-spirited friends before we drift off to sleep and dream of our spirit animals. The portrayal of the terrorists wasn't much better, especially when faced off against the stereotypical good guys. A bit of depth and conflict would have been nice. less

Haven't read a Monkeewrench story in awhile, but this seemed a little light to me.
