review 1: Ignore the blurb. Who writes those things? Caution, probable spoilers, but not enough to ruin the reading! This is a continuation of Mind Magic, of course. But, unlike other series, this isn't a completely different story with a few related characters. I enjoyed that. Nothing was really settled at the end of Mind Magic, Gray mating a Mage, no matter how wonderful Simon is will cause problems. This book continues with the pack, Gray & Simon mating, Cormac the vampire and the weird magic draining etc.On top of all the existing problems, a small mountain lion cub arrives, dirty and starving. Riley immediately bonds with Simon and we find out his pack has been drained of all their body magic, leaving Riley an orphan and proving the magic stealing didn't end with the death of T... morehomas in the previous book. On top of that Rocky has secrets and Cade can't fight his attraction. So, you must read the first book and will enjoy this second in the series. More action, betrayal, magic and another adorable member of Simon's growing family.
review 2: The first volume was totally a success to me. A different style, a different story, in brief, I just loved it. But this one disappointed me. I've thought that the story would be all about the relationship between Rocky and Cade, but no. It concerns also Simon and Grey, not that I mind. In contrary, I love their characters, only I wished to know more about the others too. But it still remains a good read and a good series. less
