review 1: This story is in fact the direct sequel of the previous book. I thought it would happen a little later and that we would focus on Cade and Rocky but not at all.It was more about Simon, Gray and their family than about Cade/Rocky. I didn't care for Rocky, so it was for the best in my opinion.That guy is an asshole 90% of the book so I really didn't get attached to him. It's not like he was very present anyway.I felt like nothing really happen and the real fight will come in the next book. I'll probably read it but it's not one of my priority. The series doesn't really interest me but still it's not a bad read, not at all.
review 2: I actually listened to book one of this trilogy a while ago and really enjoyed it. So much so that I got this as soon as funds allow... moreed so that I could read more about Simon and Gary and all the other characters I had grown so fond of. Book two did not disappoint me as it took the overall story arc along an interesting path and the romance between Simon and Gary grew as well. The romance between Rocky and Cade made an interesting addition to the main story and I look forward to reading the conclusion of both storylines in the next book. less
