review 1: Very enjoyable selection of stories. I really need to get around to reading the rest of Salvatore's stuff. I quite enjoyed the thematic elements. These stories could have been found in any set of mythology or war stories. I quite enjoyed the telling of them as well. The only one that was difficult to listen to was the one narrated by Ice-T. I enjoyed watching him on SVU but had a hard time with his rhythm of story telling. I definitely recommend this collection though!
review 2: A good solid addition to the Drizzt mythos for longtime fans, but newbies may be left a bit lost. I listened to the audible audio version with the celebrity narrators and it was awesome. The biggest surprise to me was the stellar performance by Michael Chiklis, who was so good that... more I wouldn't even have known it was him if they hadn't said it prior. All the performers did a spectacular job and getting the opportunity to learn more about my favorite characters made this well worth the read for me. less
