review 1: Note: The publisher provided me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.My Not So Super Sweet Life is the third book in the Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series. It was a bit of a departure from the first two books, as it did not include the time-travel element. Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t factored in somehow, but I understand why it wasn’t. Cat, the heroine from the first book, applies what she learned in her time-traveling adventure in Italy to her real life in California. She falls in love, meets a brother she never knew she had, and is able to reconnect with the mother who abandoned her. It was a fun, flirty read. The final pages seemed to hint at a possible fourth book, which would be a blast to read.
review 2: I r... moreeceived this book from entangled teen in exchange for an honest review. So here I am. I really like the previous two books, the time travel, the mix of renaissance and contemporary. So this last book was a bit of a disappointment because of its lack of this elements... and because it's a bit dull. Lucas is very sweet, Cat is strong willed and insecure... but really, now is the story of a normal (if not richest) couple of teenagers. Meh. Vote: 3 stars. less
