My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century
review 1: The story wasn't bad by any means, and is certainly filled with emotional turmoil, but I guess considering it was a time travel story I was expecting a little bit larger of a conflict for the heroine than romance and a potential unwanted arranged marriage. While Harris definitely brings the drama factor to this story, there's really nothing in the plot that NEEDS the time travel element she added in order to create the emotional scenes portrayed. I can't help but hope that this novel is somehow back story for something bigger in the future in this series because if it's not then I'm a little confused as to why the plot involve time travel. Usually if time travel is used in a story there's some reason, beyond how to embrace human relationships, as to why the character wa... mores sent there. And that's my biggest problem with this story is that even though I enjoyed it I couldn't really find the reason for it all. However I will say that I'm intrigued enough that I'll continue reading the series in hopes that reasons start to reveal themselves.
review 2: This is one of my best reads all year!! I picked up this book randomly when I went to the library this week and I was attracted to the book cover. While the cover story didn't really intrigue me, once I started reading it- I couldn't put it down! My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century was an amazing read.Cat/"Patience" 's perspective was sooo funny! Despite her claims of being a typical brooding-artsy type, her personality shined in the past. The story itself was quite whimsical and different from what I usually read, so it was a nice change of pace. My favorite part of the book was definitely when Cat returned to the 21st century and was looking at Lorenzo's painting inspired by her. ♡♡♡♡I started this book on 7/4/14 and I finished the book on 7/5/14 at 2 am because I felt like I HAD TO finish it!Off to book #2: A Tale of Two Centuries♡ less

Interesting concept and great writing. I wish the romance was a little ramped up.
