review 1: This book was sooooo good! It was enchanting and captivating. It's a story that I certainly won't forget! I loved how the stories of the four women slowly unfolded as you went. It was a good romance as well (it wasn't the cheesy sappy hugs and kisses fairytale like most others...) I had to put it on my mostly-clean-reads shelf however, because Phillip was a scandal and a very passionate kisser apparently. (It doesn't describe these things happening, it just makes mention of them happening in the past.) He also makes one reference to their "wedding night" All together, this book was mostly clean. It's clean enough that I'd suggest it to any romance lover.
review 2: The wedding dress by Rachel Hauck is a beautiful story woven through the lives of four special wom
... moreen. In the beginning I wasn't sure what to think of Charlotte and Toms relationships and feelings for each other.  The author weaves a very authentic tale of their emotions regarding the upcoming marriage.  Do not expect a fairytale hero. Tim is a likable, human and pretty much a guy.  Then we have Emily's story. Emily was growing up in the Civil War timeframe. She was unconventional and strong willed; but will she have courage when she needs it?  After she gets engaged to Philip, she is drawn to an African-American woman who designs her a wedding dress. Daniel is her high school sweetheart that left to play baseball. He returns for her and finds her in a relationship with Philip.  Unlike most stories of the past I love how the author had her father be supportive of her.The author did an outstanding job of intertwining all four lives of the women both past and present. Although Charlotte and Emily are the main stories, Mary Grace and Hillary had special meaning and complimented the book in a meaningful way. I had tears reading the book. But they were happy tears most of the time. I just love it when a story all comes together; when the details mean something. The author also created excellent secondary characters in Dixie and Tim's family. And if you read the story.
