review 1: The Good, the Fab and the Ugly. Say it again. And again. The name itself is amazing. Funny yet charming. My friends always laughed when they saw it. Boy, was I glad to prove them wrong.First of all, I felt the original Poseur book was good but could have been better. I felt it was too fashion-centred and although I do have a passion for desgining and fashion, an overload is not necessary. The second book luckliy was MUCH BETTER! It still was fashion-centred for all you obsessed fashionistas (guilty), but it had more of a plot line. First books are for introductions to characters and getting everything into place for the rest of the books. This second book was had more comedy, more romance and of course, DRAMA! Do you remember Nikki? No, well I don't blame you. I hardly did... more. She was the girl who kissed Charlotte's boyfriend (also known as Janie's older brother). At first I thought her story would be cliche and sappy. Instead it had me on the edge of my seat (seriously, I fell down a couple of embarrising times). The designs as usual, seem to amaze me. Once again, my favourite parts of the book are 'The Getups'. I loved to imagine how the characters looked and the sketches were so stunning. Okay, I probably bored you enough with why I liked this novel. Let me give you an idea on what it was about. Basically, the Poseur group are having a contest between themselves on who can design the best 'Trick Or Treater' bag (just in time for the Halloween festivities). Who will win? Will friendships be test? And the question many of have, who is out to get the girls?Read Poseur #2, The Good the Fab and the Ugly. I convinced you enough, go out and get yourself a copy. My warning to you is to read this on a weekend at home. I started reading this novel at school. It was a HUGE mistake. How can I be expected to focus on French verbs when I could be devouring the details on Charlotte's dress? And not to mention laughing out loud in the middle of a history lecture? K, that was a long review. Sorry guys if you are asleep right now... but READ THIS ONE!
review 2: Reviewed by Breanna F. for TeensReadToo.comHalloween is nearing at Winston Prep, and the four girls of POSEUR decide it's time to introduce their very first accessory. After some debate, they decide on a handbag that they will call the "Trick-or-Treater." Now, all that is left to do is to actually design and make the perfect bag before Halloween. Which doesn't give them a lot of time. And of course with Janie, Petra, Melissa, and Charlotte, nothing is ever simple. Each girl has ideas for her own handbag, and when it comes to picking out the right one they all insist..."Mine is the best!" What are the girls to do?There is also the task of trying to figure out who sabotaged their drawing for picking the name of their group at their release party. If they could just find one of those many tags that has POSEUR written across it, they may be able to find out who the culprit is.There is also plenty of drama involving the guys of Winston Prep, and even one guy who doesn't go to the school but who will soon be connected in some way. And also, just the regular drama of life! This was a great second book in the POSEUR series. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love each of the four girls and it's fun trying to picture what they're wearing. All of the drama makes you not want to put the book down, and the cute guys help, as well. The ending left off at a very good spot for the next book to come in at. Therefore, I can't wait to get my hands on book three, PETTY IN PINK! less
