review 1: A good read for personal finance beginners, especially those in their 20s. The last few chapters about investing were the especially useful. Investing sounds like a scary, overwhelming thing to learn, but he words it well and makes it easier to understand. Usually finance is a boring topic, but he writes like he's having a conversation with you. I'm not a fan of analogies that objectify women. Even though he was probably joking, it was distasteful and made me less likely to want to take his advice. Overall, I would recommend this book to young people to make the most of these important years to be smart about money.
review 2: I HATE the title of this book. Despite making the book sound like some kind of scheme or con, the title is written almost as a joke - a s
... moretyle of humour that the author slightly annoyingly keeps throughout it's pages.Negative criticisms aside, this is a book that I wish I had read 10 years ago. It's full of very sound and sensible advice that ranges from automating your finances to creating a solid long-term investment plan. The long and short of it, is that you can accumulate significant wealth by continually saving more than you spend and investing wisely over multiple decades. If you're still yet to sort out your finances, or haven't started any kind of saving, the advice in this book is essential. less
