review 1: This is a story of three women and how their lives became entwined--changing all of their lives forever. It is well written and the characters ring true as the story progresses. A shifting point of view moves you back and forth between the women and their individual stories but at the same time keeps the thread of the story firmly woven into the action. I enjoyed seeing the characters question what life was giving them, react to it and grow based on what they learned from life and one another. A good read. Not a mystery or a love story but a good slice of life story.
review 2: Darn, I keep picking the worst books. I hated all the characters in this boook. I really hated the way this book treated adoption. Give me a dollar for every time the phrase "giving ... moreyour baby away" and I'll have enough money to buy some better books. How sad that the selfless decision to place a child for adoption by a family better equipped to raise a child is viewed as "giving away a baby." Also, Bobby was the WORST. Not sure why Tia being with him was part of the book unless it was just one more in a string of guys she hooked up with to show how unstable she was. less
