‘Stolen’ by Rebecca Muddiman

My rating:
4 out of 5 stars

I know I promised to read ‘Dreamwalker’ by J D Oswald next, but I when I walked past the book share at work and saw a book with the same title as one of my all time favourite books (Stolen: A Letter to My Captor) I had to read it and I am so glad I did.

The events that are told in this book are so believable that I wouldn’t be surprised if I heard this story on the news and the thoughts and feelings that are expressed by the characters are exactly what I would expect them to be.

One thing I wasn’t sure about was the fact that the main perpetrator was easy identifiable and I wasn’t sure whether my interest in the story line would fizzle out because of this, but don’t be discouraged as there is a twist! I had to put the book down and tell someone the revelation that I had just read and it came out of nowhere, so be prepared. However I feel that more information about the main perpetrator’s background would have enhanced my experience, as I felt I only knew half of their story.

But my favourite thing about this book is when I reread a passage and it had a completely different meaning to me than when I first started, which sent a shiver down my spine! Definitely one to read!

You can visit my Goodread profile by clicking here and the next book I have chosen is ‘Baby Doll’ by Hollie Overton. Don’t worry I will definitely read ‘Dreamwalker’ by J D Oswald at some point!
