“Resilience Is Brilliance: Shine On”

I keep being inspired by graphics lately, and I think that’s a good thing.  Sometimes a graphic with a saying can make you think about a situation differently like the one I posted about the other day which said “You Can’t Make Everyone Happy, You’re Not Pizza.”  That helped me to take a step back and reanalyze how I think about and approach situations.  It helped put into perspective, in a funny way, that I can’t make everyone happy.

Today I came across the graphic below and it was so perfect and totally spoke to me.  It also fit in really nicely with this week’s MantraBand giveaway for the Warrior bracelet (Be sure to enter if you haven’t yet.  Winners are chosen randomly.  See below to enter.)

“Resilience Is Brilliance: Shine On.”  How amazing is that?  Such a simple sentiment that is so deep.  So first off, what is resilience?  According to the Oxford Dictionary resilience means that you have the “capacity to recover from difficulties; toughness.”  And I think having resilience is all part of being a warrior too.  Consider this:

“Being resilient does not mean that a person doesn’t experience difficulty or distress. Emotional pain and sadness are common in people who have suffered major adversity or trauma in their lives. In fact, the road to resilience is likely to involve considerable emotional distress.”

No matter who you are, what you do, where you live, we have all gone through periods of stress where we have to be resilient.  If you follow my blog you know that I have been dealing with a lot of different issues lately, but you know what?  Sure some days I struggle, some days I can’t find my way out of the darkness, but I never give up.  I keep fighting, I keep going, I keep faith that eventually I will pull through and everything will be ok.  Resilience is the fight to keep going.  Resilience is all a part of living with Mindful Unique Decisions (M.U.D.).  And having resilience is all part of being a warrior.

Simply, the ability that we have as humans to be resilient is brilliant, just like the quote says!  So you know what?  When you’re facing a bad day, when things seem bleak and you can’t find your way out of the darkness, when you feel like you want to give up DON’T!  Keep fighting, keep taking those small steps forward, take each day as it comes, cry if you have to, scream if you have to, but keep fighting.  Be strong.  Be resilient.  Be a warrior.  And shine on!
