I had seen the Karneval anime before reading this first Volume. I had hoped that the anime followed closely to its’ manga counterpart.
What I enjoyed most about my read through of Karneval was that there were fun times, cute times, and there were times when the characters were in danger. I loved how I was able to get a real sense of what the characters were feeling, when they were feeling them. I also enjoy how there isn’t just one point of view. There really isn’t a specific point of view, besides us, the reader/the outsider. Kind of like how you watch an action movie: there really isn’t one PoV, you just get what you get.
The artwork was great, and the story was very easy to follow. Both are great things to have in a manga!
I’m excited to get my hands on the second volume, since there were a few things that were mentioned and then overlooked as the story progressed. So hopefully the things that were mentioned in this first volume will be talked about in the next volumes.

I’m curious to find out who has read this manga! I know a few people who have seen the anime, and they really enjoyed it. I haven’t met any people who’ve read the manga though.
