Ginny Lurcock’s Thoughts: If you’re fortunate enough to interact with Charlotte Stein on Twitter (which I have been) you know she’s one of the sweetest and most compassionate people in the world. She loves her friends, her fans, her family, and her little dog too.So how she manages to come up unique and charged sexual encounters time after time…
Her mind must be a fascinating place.
Not Safe For Work is no exception. At a scant 60 pages, you would think that she couldn’t crank out a plot, tension, chemistry, and resolution. Especially between three characters. But she does, and she does so masterfully.
Because it’s only 60 pages, it’s stripped down of all outside influences. The only characters you get are the three involved in the romance and they’re only struggling against themselves with no outside influences…
And that’s all you need. Well, that’s all Ms. Stein needs to craft characters with enough depth, a plot that’s tense enough, and enough scorching sexual characters to get you to the end in what feels like seconds. Leaving you shouting “THAT’S IT, BUT I NEED MORE!”
(I know I said enough there like three dozen times, but the truth is this story is more than enough… It’s glorious. And totally not safe for work.)
