My Review: This is my first book by Lexxi Couper and it was a great read. I loved the backstory that she gave the characters & the chemistry that is between them. I’m not a creative person by any means, so often when I read stories/books that feature artists I don’t quite understand their thoughts & interactions. The way the author wrote this character to be very relatable. Sienna is a smart-mouthed, independent artist who has taken care of herself for the last few years – despite her dad’s wealth. James is such a headstrong man, who has wanted revenge on Sienna for the past 6 months. This story is a good lesson in why you can’t form opinions about people without actually getting to know them first.
This story was written in third person but it would switch between the main characters; this helped the readers to get more involved with the story & we get invested in the ending. The author really built up the tension between Sienna & James so that I couldn’t wait until they actually got together. There was comedic relief in the form of Sienna’s 15 year old brother Zach & James’ author friend Thomas St. Clair, and there was the heart crushing moment when Sienna found out the secrets that James was keeping from her. All in all, if you are a fan of billionaire romance stories, you definitely need to pick up a copy of this book.
Lexxie Couper started writing when she was six and hasn’t stopped since. She’s not a deviant, but she does have a deviant’s imagination and a desire to entertain readers with her words. Add the two together and you get erotic romances that can make you laugh, cry, shake with fear or tremble with desire. Sometimes all at once.
When she’s not submerged in the worlds she creates, Lexxie’s life revolves around her family, a husband who thinks she’s insane, a indoor cat who likes to stalk shadows, and her daughters, who both utterly captured her heart and changed her life forever.
