It’s hard to believe that two years ago today we woke up to the sad news that David Bowie had lost his battle with cancer and died 2 days after his 69th Birthday.
I said in an earlier post that he had provided the soundtrack to my life. Actually that is ‘has’ not ‘had’. I still listen to his music. Anniversaries provide reminders and there’s a great article in the Independent – where they choose 15 of his greatest album tracks (which weren’t singles). The link is here.
I don’t agree with all of the choices, but there are some great songs…
Bowie still tops my personal favourite songs chart – with Young Americans. Yesterday there was news that long time collaborrator Nile Rodgers had released a demo version of Let’s Dance – you can find it on Spotify.
So, I’ll listen to some Bowie today – probably starting with the Independent’s track list.
RIP Mr Bowie. Sadly missed.
