Day 110

It’s the last day of the month which means it’s time for my monthly wrap-up! I read three books this month. November is a reading killer to be honest. This is the month when you’re trying to pick up your failing grade and prepping for finals. One of these books was for school reading and the other two were for fun.

  • House of Names by Toibin Colm
  • This was the only assigned reading that I read this month and I actually enjoyed it a little bit. It was not something I would read on my own though. I would have probably DNFed it if I read it for fun, but I enjoyed it for what it was.

  • Don’t Talk Back To Your Vampire by Michele Bardsley
  • This was interesting. It was written very comically and the characters were amusing, but a lot of stuff wasn’t fleshed out so I often got confused by some things. Also, it’s hard to know who her target audience was because I got Princess Diaries vibes from the writing, but the story was definitely for adults. I don’t think I’ll continue the series after thinking about it, I’ll keep the book but I don’t think I’ll ever re-read it.

  • Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  • This was AMAZING!! 10/10 would recommend. I loved almost every minute of it!! There were some gruesome parts and the beginning with Frank bored me a bit, but once you hit the part where Claire and Jamie get married, it’s so amazing. The relationship between the two of them was so sweet and romantic that I want a Jamie of my own haha. It took me a week to listen to the audiobook, I can’t imagine how long it would take me to read the books on my own to be honest. However, I do plan to own all of these bad boys!

Physical books that I am currently reading: 2

    Update: no new books!
