Notable host, Ryan Seacrest, will be hosting this year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve. This will be taking place Sun, Dec. 31. The event will be held at Time Square, in NYC. This event is global and national, and will be broadcasted live for audiences at home, on ABC’s website.
Seacrest will be returning as host for the New Year’s Eve event for the 12th year in a row. This year, singer and song-writer, Ciara, will be co-hosting the event with Seacrest. The pair will also be accompanied by other co-host, Jenny McCarthy. Ciara originally performed during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve in 2005.
“When I performed on this show back in 2005, I was so young and it was so special and exciting to be part of such an iconic show,” Ciara said in a statement about the hosting gig. “Over 10 years later, it’s a really great feeling to say I’ve had the opportunity to host and perform on the show and I can’t wait to ring in the New Year with the world.”

Korean boy band, BTS have announced that they will be performing this year. The boy band is becoming international, after having high spreading success in Korea. Kelly Clarkson is also set to make an appearance, and will be performing as well. Seacrest and Clarkson will be reunited since their days in American Idol.

The event will have VIP, and that will be located at Marriott Marquis, in Times Square. The event will be filmed until 12a.m., when the ball drop does descend. This celebration of the New Year will be a grand one, as people prepare to enter 2018.
