DIY “Medicine Cabinet”

Getting sick in college is the worse. For most, this is the first time no one will take care of you like your family at home would have. No chicken noodle soup waiting for you on the stove top, or someone to take your to the doctors. All this you have to go through on you’re own, and the first time can be scary for anyone.

The best thing to do to help with the chaos that comes with getting sick in college, is staying one step ahead.

By making your own “medicine cabinet” (box), you’ll have the basic essentials to help you and your friends through any flu season.

Here’s what you need: (Disclaimer: if you are allergic to any medicines or products shown on this list please refrain from purchasing them)

  • A box : to keep everything together. Not anything too big, something small.
  • Tylenol : a travel size pack will work perfectly
  • Advil: for headaches or muscle pain
  • Tums: for an upset stomach
  • Band – aids : in case you ever need them
  • Neosporin : to keep your cuts for getting infected
  • Gaze: again, in case you ever need them
  • Ice pack: I keep this in my refrigerator but it’s definitely something that will come in handle one day, so definitely make the purchase.

and of course

  • allergy medicine : because if it’s not you that needs it, it’ll be someone you know.
