Lovers Leap – Jamaica

Lovers Leap located in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica is named after the story of two slaves who were lovers. Legend has it that the plantation owner wanted the girl for himself and arranged to have her lover sold off to another plantation. Upon learning that they might be separated the young lovers ran away.  They jumped from the top of a steep cliff that dropped about 1700 feet, plunging to their deaths.
