It’s here! My last ever quarterly Most Anticipated post! You can find links to the others below. When I did my first back in January it seemed like this would never come. Books like One Dark Throne and then unnamed superhero Marissa Meyer novel seemed like they were years away. And yet somehow as of this post One Dark Throne was just released and Renegades is due for release in November. Where did the time go? Or did I just spent the year reading?
January to March
April to June
July to September
OctoberThe Afterlife of Holly Chase
The Glass Spare
The Midnight Dance
Brooding YA Hero
This Darkness Mine
There’s Someone Inside Your House
All the Crooked Saints
The Nowhere Girls
October pick – The Afterlife of Holly Chase
On Christmas Eve five years ago, Holly was visited by three ghosts who showed her how selfish and spoiled she’d become. They tried to convince her to mend her ways. She didn’t. And then she died. Holly is stuck being the Ghost of Christmas Past, seventeen forever while her family and friends move on.
I’m so excited for this and have been ever since I heard about it. The premise alone sounds fantastic. Mean girls, ghosts, a tale of regret and atonement (well…I hope) It sounds like a perfectly twisted Christmas story.
NovemberRenegades
Kat and Meg Conquer the World
R.I.P Eliza Hart
Into the Drowning Deep
Almost Midnight
The Chaos of Standing Still
November Pick – Renegades
Into the Deep almost won this one…except it was competing again A) a superhero story B) written by Marissa Meyer. I have been waiting for her next book practically since I finished Heartless. She is an automatic To Read author and I will get my hands on this the second it comes out.
DecemberIdol Dreams 4
War of the Cards
The Young Queens
Alone
December Pick – War of the Cards
Despite not having many releases in December I’m excited about, the options still all have their own merits – but War of the Cards eventually won out. I loved the first two in this series and I can’t wait to read the final book, detailing Dinah’s final descent into becoming the mad Queen of Hearts.
I may add more to this post as December is a bit thin but otherwise there’s some great releases here. Next year I intend to change the layout of my yearly picks, so I have a bit more to work with and can more easily adapt it as the year goes on. But for now, this is the last of Luna’s 2017 picks. See you in 2018!
If you have any books you’re looking forward to, please let me know. I have to fill out my Christmas wishlist somehow…
