After the first chapter I couldn’t stop reading!
This is the first book I have read from Debra Anastasi and it was fantastic. It’s a stand alone romance. I was hooked from the first chapter and by the end of the 3rd chapter I felt so connected to the character yes I think I could have cried a little (don’t judge me till you read it).
Fenix is tattooed and dangerous, he fell in love when he was a boy with a fiery girl Rebecca. Fenix watched over Rebecca for years he couldn’t talk to her to keep her safe and because of how he made himself look from the tattoos. Rebecca became a addiction, his personal drug.
Rebecca worked in a bar, she is funny and beautiful, she want’s to find real, true love which she doesn’t get from the men her mother pushes on her, oh and the best bit is she has a cuddley toy addiction!
“I just don’t want regular. You know? I want to feel love hard in my chest?”
One night there was a perfect opportunity for Nix to meet Rebecca in real life, where his tattoos wouldn’t make him look like a freak and he could be himself. I loved reading the characters grow and fall in love.
This book still kept you guessing it had ups and downs I just can’t recommend it enough. Mercy is the best book I have read this year!
