The mother daughter book club is back. This time with a new member. Becca Chadwick. Becca is as mean as ever but everyone can agree that she gets things done. As the girls navigate 7th grade they realize something horrible. Jess’s parents might have to sell Half Moon Farm. The whole book club (even Becca) will have to team up to save it. And even that might not be enough.
I thought that this book was very sweet. It was very friendship based, which means that we did not see as much of the book club as I would have liked. But that was okay. I enjoyed seeing more of Mrs. Delany and Half Moon Farm. But let’s stop my rambling and get on with the review.
All of the characters were so real. I loved and cherished them all. I hope that they are as good in the next book. All the girls fights (I would say something but I won’t) were really realistic. It seemed to me like I was back in 4th grade. Let me tell you, that is not a good thing. My favorite character out of all this was Becca. Shocker. But I liked her a lot after she was nicer. Like I said, she had the will to get things done. I like people like that. Sorry, not sorry. I think that after we got over ourselves and Becca was nicer, we would get along just fine with each other. Everyone else in this book was very good as well. I think that we will get to know Becca and the rest of the Fab 3 in the next book.
The plot was very interesting. There were lots of mini adventures in the it and even though there was not much of a plot I still loved the plot. (How can you love the plot when there is not much of the plot) Because the whole Half Moon Farm thing didn’t come in until the middle of the book I couldn’t call that much of a plot. I think that this book was based more on the characters and the character development. All of the mini adventures were really funny and realistic. I wish I had more of them. But I don’t. Well I can say that blogging is an adventure. Now I am just rambling so I will wrap it up here.
