Great beginning to a new series.
Cruz Ziffino has finally been released from a 10 year stint in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Unwilling to waste his time on anger and regret for the years he was incarcerated, Cruz decides a fresh start is needed and with the help of fate or destiny he leaves the gang ridden streets of Chicago for the country life in Redemption County where he meets the sweet, yet sassy Rosie Marlow.
While the two hit it off from the start, the road to happiness isn’t without it’s hazards and obstacles. Cruz might have thought he left his past behind him, but others are not willing to let things lie. Then there is the fact that Rosie has her own secrets. Can she find the courage to open her past up to Cruz? Will it chase him away?
This story runs the gamut of emotions. At times it made me laugh, cry, and sigh, Engrossing from beginning to end, I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read Rosie’s brother’s story.
