I did not realize I still had not read this. After a year of having it on my TBR shelf! LOL!
So, I finally got to M. Leighton’s “Dashing Through the Snow,” and, honestly, I thought Dash and Dilyn deserved a novel, not just this tiny, little, rushed novella. It’s a great story; it was just packed too much in too little. The abrupt love-at-first-sight, the fall into bed immediately on the first day of meeting, the sudden turnaround from Dash, etc. All of those make for a dashing romance novel trope that was, frankly, and I hate to repeat words in my reviews, but this just kept popping into my head: rushed.
Nonetheless, I’m happy I got to read this novella. Now, I just hope M. Leighton’s novels get better, ‘coz I got a bunch of hers still in my TBR shelf.
