review 1: I loved the Ender's Game series from a long time ago, still enjoy it despite the controversy in recent years over the author's political views, and look forward to my kids reading Ender's Game when they get older. This prequel series was not essential but was still fun for its ragtag band of problem-solving heroes, and it's interesting to see a writer working around the parameters he established decades ago and apparently contradicting some of the recent movie.
review 2: Maybe because I was jogging at the time...but that last battle scene had my heart pumping! And I'm usually cynically uninvolved in things. :) I thought it was so fun to fill in all the "holes" in the story from all the history alluded to in the Ender series. Love the development of Mazor Rackh... moream. Listened on audiobook as I always do....thank you Brother Card for always making the audio available! :) can't wait to see how the I.F will start and maybe even the Battle School. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. less
