A HUNDRED THOUSAND STARS BECAUSE COOPER!!!!

Cooper’s life has been one disappointment over another. But she hasn’t let that stop her or dim her light. She powers through everyday with the hopes of going to her dream school soon. She knows she won’t be leaving behind anything that’ll she miss.

What she didn’t plan for was him. Blond hair, piercing eyes and beautiful face. He asks Cooper a simple question that stumps her.

“What makes you happy?”

She was enthralled so when he asked her to come with him, she said yes. No questions. No second thoughts.

Her entire life is about to change and with Emery she might just learn the true way to live.

I am just going to come out and say that this book is one of the most influential books this year. I love so many things about this story but I can’t even put them into proper words.

Cooper is one o my favourite female leads EVER. She is strong and just such a positive inspiration.

I adore road trip romances but this book is so much more than just a love story. This book deals with pretty serious issues and I am in awe the way Kandi handled that. I respect the hell out of that woman for writing something this riveting.

My heart beats for this story for so many reasons and one of them is EMERY BLOODY REED. I think I am absolutely in love with that man. He is a troubled soul and I just want to hug him and make him happy. Have I said I love him?!?

This story is one of those that hit you hard, make a huge place in your heart and stay there with you forever. GOD BLESS KANDI!!!

5 Stars!

Synopsis:
What makes you happy?

That was the question Emery Reed asked me the day we met, and I couldn’t give him a single answer. I could have said my dog, or my books, or yoga — but I just stared.

And then, I got in his car.

It was crazy to take a road trip with a stranger, but after years of standing still, he was my one-way ticket to a new life, and I wasn’t going to miss it.

We shared the same space, the same car, the same hotel room — and still, we were strangers. One day we’d be laughing, the next, we wouldn’t speak. Emery was surrounded by impenetrable walls, but I wanted in.

Discovering his journal changed everything.

I read his thoughts, words not meant for anyone’s eyes, and the more I learned about him, the harder I fell. It turned out nothing made Emery Reed happy, and I wanted to change that.

I earned his trust by violating his privacy, and as wrong as it was, it worked — until one entry revealed a darkness I never knew existed, a timer I never knew was ticking.

Suddenly, what made me happy was saving Emery from himself. I just didn’t know if I could.
